370A-370B. Teaching of Mathematics. Lecture, three hours.
Prerequisites: course 3B or 31B, graduate student standing. Critical inquiry
into present-day tendencies in teaching mathematics. |
General Information
Math 370AB is a two-quarter sequence aimed at preparing students to
teach mathematics at the middle school or high school level. Math
370A is offered each Fall, and Math 370B each Winter. The courses are
team-taught by a faculty member from the Mathematics Department and a
math educator with long experience in the high school classroom.
Math 370AB is open only to students in the Teacher Education Program in GSEIS (Graduate School of Education and Information Studies) who are seeking a single-subject credential in mathematics. Math 370AB is the same as the course sequence Math 105AB. See the Math 105AB web page for more detailed information. |
