Putting Macintosh files into your UNIX account (i.e., from a floppy). You're done.
- Go to the Power Macintosh in MS 6621 (the newer looking one with a big colorful screen).
- If you have a floppy put it in the floppy drive and open the icon.
- Choose from the menu "Apple|Internet|Fetch 3.0.3". A dialog box will pop up prompting you for "Host", "user ID", and "Password". The host should default to "math.ucla.edu" which is fine.
- Enter your name and password then click the "OK" button. A window will pop up that contains the files in your UNIX home directory.
- Drag files from the floppy window to your UNIX home directory window. If you want to go to a specific UNIX subdirectory of your home directory, click on it before you drag the file over.
