Putting Macintosh files into your UNIX account (i.e., from a floppy).
  1. Go to the Power Macintosh in MS 6621 (the newer looking one with a big colorful screen).
  2. If you have a floppy put it in the floppy drive and open the icon.
  3. Choose from the menu "Apple|Internet|Fetch 3.0.3". A dialog box will pop up prompting you for "Host", "user ID", and "Password". The host should default to "math.ucla.edu" which is fine.
  4. Enter your name and password then click the "OK" button. A window will pop up that contains the files in your UNIX home directory.
  5. Drag files from the floppy window to your UNIX home directory window. If you want to go to a specific UNIX subdirectory of your home directory, click on it before you drag the file over.
You're done.
